Best way to hook a 5 step climbing aider to a Lonewolf stick

I have a blk Dimond 5 step climbing aider and would like to use it as a moveable aider can this be done with a single step LW stick any tips or advise would be much aprictiated
 
I took some webbing and made a big loop that goes over the top step. The aider is connected to the web loop.
