Hello everybody, I’m new to tree saddle hunting. I just bought the Tethrd phantom saddle and used it once. I love the thing, very comfortable even for a big guy. I’m 6 foot and weigh 260 pounds. I tried using a lone wolf hand climber seat for climbing and it didn’t work out to well for me. My question to any other experienced big guys is what would y’all recommend for easy climbing up to 15 to 25 feet.

My 20” Helium’s do me just fine. I’m in the 250ish range and sure to be 260 around Thanksgiving. I have 18” cable aiders on 2 of my 4 sticks and can get around 16’ with out stretching them out too awfully far.

Man I started saddle hunting at 340 last year. 4 full length lone wolfs with a double step on the top of each stick, a mantis and a predator platform. I'm 264 as of noon today, now climbing the same lone wolf sticks just cut down to 17" w/ 18" cable aiders and rope mods. I've never fully measured out my height in the tree, but 4 of any short sticks on the market with an aider of your choice and you should be able to see close to 20 ft or more.

Thanks for reply . I’ll take a look at that.

Sweet!! Thanks for reply.

I am a short stocky guy 280. I have been using Saddle for last few years. Been using Wildedge steppladder for over decade and love it. Using aider (had both knees replaced), can still get over 20 feet with ease and stability.
