I’ve been wanting to try this rig.... I worried it may be too big for a saddle. Been looking for a way to shrink my pack. But from a stand or the ground I wonder if it would work or has anyone here tried. I e seen a picture of a guy wearing one in a saddle but idk

I made an even more minimalist diy RYO and it works for me. Not sure I would want to hike all day with it, but it’s fine for hanging in the saddle.

It’s literally just one long loop of shock cord attached by a cord lock. I can either wear it like a necklace or as a four point harness by tucking it under my arms and then going over my head. I’ll try to get a pic later. Dog is asleep on my lap right now.
