Blood trailing lights

I bought the the Primos Blood Hound a few years back. I never thought I would need help seeing blood but as I have gotten older and my eyesight is not what it used to be I was having a hard time seeing blood in the dark with my regular headlamp. I mostly had a hard time if it had rained and the leaves and grass were wet. The Primos light has saved me on many occasions, it works fantastic for me. Now I use it for all night recoveries. I'm not sure what kind of light or filter it uses but it gives off a purplish light that just makes blood really stand out. Now having said all this, I have seen videos and read articles where someone tested all different kinds of lights and colors and they concluded that none worked any better then your regular LED headlamps. I'm not sure if it's just due to someone's individual vision but I can tell you for sure that the Primos light has worked for me . It has a permanent place in my back pack and it's one of the best peaces of equipment that I have spent my money on.
