These may not be the lightest but if you don't have welding skills but do have access to a good hardware store. You can build your own. If not and you want to try you can order the parts pretty readily. Everything went together with a Drill, Jig Saw (metal blade), and wrenches. You can also improvise with steel (sign post materials) but heavy....
Parts are pretty easy

1 - https://www.mcmaster.com/47065t502-47065T637 (cut in half and 3" tall)
1 - https://www.mcmaster.com/8975k87 Cut to preference for steps - 2 holes 1.5" apart (Can be modified to use Aluminum C-Channel also)
5 - 5/16" x 2-1/2" Grade 8 bolts and nylock nuts

Bolt in place middle of stick as shown (heavy versa button)
1 - 1/2" Flange Nut
1 - 5/16" heavy duty over sized washer

These may not be the lightest but I'm 230# and they don't even wiggle. Note the "Versa Button Idea is just a flange nut reversed and heavy washer to keep everything together. These are a bit rough as I was just trying out the idea with Scraps I found at work to see if it was viable.
