Found a good deal on 8 inch lag bolts 3/8”. Will these be good for climbing?

Last time I bought them they were about .85 cents apiece but you had to buy a box of 50

Less than $2 a pop at your local Ace. Folks buy them cheaper online.

15 bolts gets me to 30ft for less than $30. That's insanely cheap compared to stick, spurs, or stepps. There's lots of places to save a buck, but in my mind bolts aren't one of those places.

@ablairTTO ,yes they are grade 8, I get mine from Fastenal here locally, I'll look for a link to some today, but a lot of guys are finding them cheaper, check some of the bolt threads
 
I ordered 20 bolts today from wholesalebolts.com

3/8-16 x 6" Hex Bolt, Grade 8 Yellow Zinc Plated, Per 10 Pcs.

I selected the flat rate shipping option and the total was 21.71 for 20 bolts delivered, 1.08 per bolt delivered and did not have to leave the house
