Bow Hanger Idea

I went to a Tethrd TNT today. Got to meet several of them including the owner and walked away with more than what I went there with.

While talking, the conversation drifted to gear hooks and bow hangers. Some were using Heroclips and others were using big, plastic hooks. After some brainstorming and trial-n-error, we came up with something I really like and seems to correct many of the issues with other methods. All that is required is a continuous loop and a kydex J-hook.

I had spare 7/64" amsteel laying around and made a 7" continuous loop though this would work with paracord as well. It's quick/easy to hang the bow and equally quick/easy to retrieve.

I'm going to do this but with a nite ize aluminum s-biner (size 4) with the lower spring gate removed.

Tell me more. I’m afraid I’m missin something…which isn’t uncommon

Paracord is stiff and will "stand" on its own. I have two loops on both ends of my bow riser for clipping a carry strap.

Here's a few updated pictures. I swapped out the amsteel daisy for the versastrap because the j-hook would sometimes flip up if I didn't cinch it down tight enough. With the wider strap, the j-hook will always remain in place.

I tried the kydex hook on an amsteel daisy chain I made. The hook doesn't slide over the brummel locks very well and sometimes not at all. Those kydex hooks are too hard to unsnap and not slide while in a tree.
