I'm still gathering non essential equipment and haven't gotten a bow hanger yet but , boy, do I need to...this is very inconvenient.

I guess I need to take a better picture. I just leave about 3 inches or rope from the knot on my tether with a knot on the end. You could do it on an accessory strap as well. Weighs hardly anything. Completely silent and not another piece of gear to carry in the woods. Slide rope between string and limb or cam and the knot keeps it from sliding off. It lays flat against the tree. Just lift your bow up and the rope pulls off silently. I’ll never use anything else. It’s so simple. You may have to play with how long to make the tag end to suit your needs, but it’s easy.
This year I got a tether with spliced ends so I didn’t have any tag ends. I just whipped a small rope to the tether loop where needed. I may buy one of the versa straps as a gear hanger and tie a bow hanger rope on it.

I like it, just not sure it would work on a compound.... I'll have to pull out my bow now.

This thing is amazing. Most people think these are illegal on public land in michigan, but the regs don't say anything about screw in bow hooks or accessories, just steps. Not sure where you're at, but definitely worth looking into the regs.

I’m sure if they confront you they will let you know screw ins are screw ins whatever they are. That even looks like a steps. The point being not to penetrate the tree.

It says you can penetrate the tree for your tree stand, so there are exceptions. They just can't list them all. I'm not using screw in steps or anything bolted to the tree for climbing, I'm good to go.

I made one the other day that I am very happy with. I took a buckle cinch strap and placed two large S hook wiregate biners on the strap. On the S hook that I hang my gun or bow I took one wiregate off and wrapped stealth strips on it. The other S hook I left as is and I use this one to clip my back pack on. I will take a pic and post it. The cinch strap holds the heavier items better than my previous hanger which was a wooden L that I bored a hole through and tied it off with a timber hitch. See youtube link...

I see that’s good to know and agreee its good idea to read regulations thoroughly and yearly as things change around here quite often. Most states I’ve seen will prohibit anything that penetrates the tree I.e. screw in steps hangers, drilled bolts etc.

To me @g2outdoors figured it out.

I bought this stuff or you can sew it yourself out of webbing you may have around if you prefer

Wrap it around the tree then run a tail through one of the loops. Attach you Qlipter in the first loop below the intersected loop and BAMMO, you’ve got a light weight, compact hanger. A biner off your pack hangs nicely though any of the other loops.
