Trad hunter from Oregon new to saddle hunting. To hang my recurve I tried the hero clip with HYS strap and it's bad! Lots of noise and won’t easily let go of the bow. These Oregon blacktails are spooky! They will react to the tension noise of a bow string being drawn. Rubberized screw in hooks work but I’m looking for no tree damage. Any ideas???

Do you have brush buttons installed on your string?
They will help eliminate a "pinch factor" of the string and bow limb pinching tight on the hanger.

I use one of these https://www.niteize.com/product/S-Biner-Plastic-8.asp

I removed the clip from the side that my bow hangs on. I simply clip the other side over the part of my tether wrapped around the tree after I am set up. You can position it wherever you want based on your set up. I also use a brush button on the top limb so that it doesn't get pinched between the string.

I've used a loop tied to my quiver hood and a small rubber coated hook. I'm experimenting with some ABS plastic to make a quiver hook on the wife units glowforge similar to a tightspot Rise quiver.

I use one of these plastic strap on gear hangers. Easy to setup and doesn’t make any sound. It holds up my heavy compound and a pack pretty easily.
