I just made a new gear hanger. I sewed molle loops down the entire length of another piece of webbing probably 3.5' long. I connect it to the tree with a custom 1/4" bungee cord I made from some spare hooks and cord I had leftover from a kayak project.
I found the best clip ever for my bow. Called the Qlipter. It holds 40 pounds and works really well. I camo-formed mine. You can see it in action in the thread below.

I also have two #4 Stainless Steel 75lb S-biners from Nite Ize. I use these for my pack and whatever else I might need to hang. I removed one of the spring closures on the S hooks. That way one side clips to the molle loop and the other is open for my pack. The hooks never come off the loops so they don't get lost.
