Bow mount for phone?

Painted arrow bow mount
This may depend some on your phone I’m guessing, but I was forced to get a new phone so I snagged this last week based on the rec. It works well for me on some test shots on a target. I don’t have a high end bow and the vibration on film is minimal and I feel confident I’ll be able to see point of impact if stuff goes sideways and i need to review impact or ask for opinions here. That’s the extent of self filming I plan to do though, no desire to get internet “famous” by any means so grain of salt if you are tying to make tv.

That’s the same reason I got one. Have you tried it with lighted nocks?

I saw the Painted Arrow mount last season. May need to pick one up. I’d like to try to record hunts but I’m not looking to invest a bunch of money in it.

I thought the THP one would be awesome. Went home and made one but the shock of the shot distorts my image soo bad. Maybe the one they sell works better but it looks just like the one I made.

The go pro works well in good light since it has the best image stabilization. The phones are always going to struggle with that part

I was skeptical. Had one in my Amazon cart forever and hadn’t pulled the trigger.
I'm wondering about making something to hold the phone behind my bow on my jacket, similar to a cops camera. That would do away w/the shock distortion.

Muddy makes a cheaply priced camera arm (under $25.00) that mounts to the tree and there are dozens of camera mount to phone mount adapters that work great for filming kill shots that work with the Muddy camera arm. Also there are chest rigs and headband rigs that you can purchase and use an action camera mount to phone mount adapters on. The headband mount works best for bow & crossbow as you're looking at the target before, during, and after the shot. The bow movement after trigger release made it difficult for me to see a stabilized video on the stabilizer phone mount. If someone could design a gimbal type bow phone stabilizer mount that wouldn't get in the way of the arrow, I might try that product but I'm sure it be a lot more $$$. The DJI phone camera setup that I use utilizes a gimbal and it wasn't cheap but you can walk or run and the image is stabilized while your body is bouncing around.

I have tried to mount my cell phone similar to the THP one back when I had an iphone 4, tried tactacam POV, and go pro hero 5 also. The Go pro was the best but they all stink. Mounting to the bow does not seem to be the answer for me. I have settled on a LWCG pocket arm w my cell phone mounted to it. I also traded for an insta360x camera that I mount above me and it films everything.

Shoot I even tried LID Cam .... a little camera that clips onto the brim of your hat! Stinks also. The problem with bow mounted as others have said is the vibration is rough and you miss what you are needing to film, impact.

Any recommendations on mounting your phone to your bow? Would like to have video of arrow flight and hopefully impacts during hunting.
I have the Mag Pro also. I put the metal tape inside my case instead of outside or on the phone. I love it for regular filming. Too much vibration to really analyze arrow flight though. Love it for hunting and analyzing shooting form. I also have a Tactacam. Same result, good for filming but not analyzing arrow flight.
