Well, I read on here a few guys complain about Bowtech limbs. Was packing my stuff up after the morning hunt and noticed this. Little bummed. Purchased second hand. So no warranty. Good thing I have been shooting the crossbow with the kids. The Trad bow isn't ready to go yet.
Are limbs pretty easy to change out? It's a Regin 6. Press, then let out? Swap cams and reinstall?
Anyone work at a Bowtech dealer that can order me a new set of limbs?
Not impressed with any of my local shops. Send me a PM if you do. Screenshot_20221017-130619-405.png

i'm curious what the yellow speckles are on your finish.....a part of the pattern or something else?

are you sure it isn't just the finish on the limb peeling off in a strip? is there fiberglass/limb material coming up? how it is curling looks like paint/dip peeling off somewhat

first thing i'd do is peel all that stuff off that is trying to come off and then inspect with a cotton ball, magnifying glass, and bright light

Its fiberglass. Like a sliver of it. The yellow is rust water. It was a little rainy this morning. Picked up some rust water off something.

That stinks. Good luck. Better to find out now than in a draw cycle….

Haven’t heard of that issue for awhile. Still going strong with my 2013 Insanity.

I really thought about the revolt xl but my suspicions have been proven. Thank you and best of luck. Check limb bolts if you have rusty water like that. If the limbs dont explode, they could rust out and snap on ya and come undone.

Remember kids, be safe no bowtechs!!!!

I am also looking at the bowtech revolt xl. With a 32.5" draw length its hard to find bows that fit. Plus I like the thought of the dead lock system that you can tune bow without a press.

even with a press, deadlock is still great

no shimming and microadjustable

they stopped randomly exploding a few years ago lol

mine is going on 2 years old and is 100 percent
Had 2 of them explode on me. 2nd one was less than 100 shots old, so I'd be cautious to call any Bowtech "100%", but that's just from my experience. Wish it wasn't the case, I'd shot nothing but Bowtech for about a decade until that 2nd grenade went off
