I'm contemplating going saddle rather than stand/blind (especially after reading Eberhart's books) but don't know a thing about them other than the YouTube binge I've done the last couple of days.

I wish I knew someone who had one just so I can try it out (see if I can get my butt even up the tree) before I go invest in all the gear.

I have a hunting lease but also have some land in my yard where I can practice just climbing without killing myself and shooting.

Suggestions?

First off. Welcome!

Where are you located? If you are anywhere close to another saddle hunter, that may be a possibility.

Welcome. I’m in eastern NC just passed Raleigh. I use a guidos web which I love. Ezboy recliner in the tree. Have a mantis on order and one day I’m sure it’ll arrive.

Welcome! Careful where ye tred....the saddle insanity is a wee bit on the extreme side....once you get bit...there is no turning back!
