hi

I just got my Kestrel and I’ve been setting it up different ways

I have a Erie bracket with xop seat

I’ve noticed if I set my lead line at head height I have no support on the saddle
I’m just standing on the platform even with the prussik knot slide all the way up

What are you guys doing with this setup?

get you a couple of ropeman 1's about 3 of them - 1 for each rope until you get use to it. This is my first year using a saddle and the ropemans help.

Most of the guys are using a bridge somewhere between 24” - 30”. The tighter the bridge the more hip pinch.

Above your head to solve the problem you're having. I don't use a platform, but if you're standing on the platform without the saddle supporting and your blake's hitch is at the tree, then there's only one way to go and that is up. The other option is to reduce the length of your bridge.

You probably need to shorten your bridge. The bridge comes very long from aero hunter. If you can take a picture of your set up now we can take a look and help.

The Blake's hitch as it comes from New tribe is pretty long. Useing a ropeman shortens things quite abit . I've set my bridge to 24" and tie at eye level. I've really only been "leaning". To set down, things would have to change some. I'm using a ring of steps also.
