From what I have read most guys are using a 24” bridge. With some as much as 30”.

Where do you measure bridge from? Are you measuring the knots and caribener or from bridge attachment to attachment on the other side of the kestrel? Or just the rope or strap not including the knots.

Just curious.
 
actual length of the bridge material. I measure my amsteel from loop-to-loop before it's attached to the lineman loops on my saddle.
 
From the point of contact with the bridge loops. A carabiner should be included in the measurement
