You guys that have bought the H2 and replaced the buckle, can you give me a link to a climb rated buckle that you used to replace the stock buckle?

My dad just bought the H2 a few weeks ago and hates the buckle. In an effort to try to keep him from modifying his saddle I am looking to buy another buckle for him but, he is convinced that no buckles will work because of the thickness of the webbing on the H2.

Anybody have any issues with a replacement buckle not working with the stock webbing?

Bump. I've seen several guys complain about the buckle, Nobody has replaced it yet?
Yeah, when I tried one on that was a members, I couldnt believe how hard it was adjust honestly. Otherwise, I waspretty impressed with it. Seemed a little noisy in comparision to the kestrel though.

Don't have an H2 but is there any doubt that an AustriAlpin buckle would work?

He is convinced that they won't because of the thickness of the webbing. I'm not sure. I was hoping that someone could point me to one that they knew worked before I ordered it.

Yeah, he likes the saddle but, hates the buckle.

Did you ever wind up replacing the buckle on that H2?

I'm curious if one could just replace the male connector to at least have single side adjustability

Yes I did, go to amazon look up quick release tactical belt you will find several that will work. Just replace the female side of buckle the quick release part. Worked great
