First off, new here and new to saddle hunting. Thanks for letting me be a part of the forum. I made a platform for my muddy stick like the artisan outdoors platform. I’m very happy with it. The next one I made with the wheelchair platform for eBay. I got it all put together, and noticed it was cracked. I’m glad I didn’t miss that and it break 20ft up.

How much does it cost to make the “wheelchair” platform? How hard is it to put together? Is it pretty much just all bolt together or is there metal fab needed? I wanna try a platform but I don’t want to buy an expensive one just to try.

Why won’t it work? It’s the same one that’s on the lone wolf stands.

When you cam it onto the tree hard to get it rick solid you will find out. It’s been done before, it’s failed before. He was just trying to help you out

I appreciate all the DIY projects and enjoy reviewing them. With the said I am afraid someone is going to get seriously injured. I started out doing some DIY gear. When I was 26 ft. up, I looked at my equipment and decided it was not worth it for me. One injury or fall can change your life forever. There has been a lot of time and money spent by our Saddle Hunter Forefathers engineering equipment. We need to use their knowledge and experiences, so we do not make the same mistakes.

It will work until you cam it to hard and it breaks. I have been running muddy standoffs on mine for 2 years. I haven't broke it yet but its not as solid because I cam it light as not to break it. I hate to baby gear

The muddy platform was just a piece of 4x4 aluminum angle 1/4” thick. I’m glad to hear about the standoffs. I will replace them when the new platform comes in.

I got the platform off eBay for 25 bucks. All you really have to do is cut some tubing, drill some holes, and bolt it together. I’ve seen a bunch of guys on the forum make them.
