I just recieved a customized EWO 15" sick for one stick climbing.As I was putting the cam cleat on,I wondered if one would work on a stand?I don't see why it wouldn't but I never saw anyone mention doing it.Bad idea?
 
I'd suggest agaisnt it. Much more pressure involved with caming the platform. Besides, truckers hitch with an amsteel daisy chain is lighter, solid, cheaper, and stronger.
 
I would not put a cleat on a .5. Especially since it only has 1 button, unless you put the second optional one on.
