Cam Cleat or Versa Button?

Regarding climbing sticks, what are the advantages/disadvantages of the cam cleat vs the versa button? If using a versa button, do you use a strap or a rope?

I like the versa button - easier to stack, really doesn't take that much longer and not chance of that loud POP if you don't catch the cleat when removing a rope. I have climbed my sticks with only passing the rope behind the rope and then one loop around the versa without slipping. But to throw in 2 half hitches for safety (which is recommended for muddy's also) is really not hard and doesn't take long.

Thanks Dave. I may end up getting one of Dan Infalt's sticks which comes with a strap button rather than a rope. I assume you prefer rope over strap since you use a rope but curious to know if there's a specific reason you prefer rope?
