I am currently working on building a single stick out of hawk helium mini’s. Current plan is to use a 70-17 cam cleat. I was thinking about using Sampson ultratech 5/16 as the rope as I have a lot just laying around. I was just wondering if anyone knows if the cam cleat will damage the aramid core of the rope. Anyone have experience with this.
