Cam cleats on a stock LW stick.

Hey y’all 2 questions. Has anyone added a cam cleat to a LW stick(either cut down or full length) and @sdonx did you have any issues with the stick trying to kick out with the cleats mounted on the side of your DIY stick? I apologize if this has been answered before. Please feel free to link to any conversations if it has. I’m starting to think I just suck at the search function. I’ve been putting Lone wolf Cam cleat into the search 6 ways from Sunday trying to see if someone’s put a cam cleat on a LW and I can’t find it. Plenty of other sticks just no specific mention of a LW stick. Anyway, I just ordered a Ronstan medium cleat and am intending to put it on my LW stick to make my new one sticking adventure easier. Planning on using #10 stainless bolts with lock washers and nuts. Also any advice on how to attach the fixed portion of the rope would be appreciated. Thanks!
 
@Oldforester Did you ever get around to doing this project? I’m wanting to do the same thing.

Hey @tider! No I never did. I had a death in the family and then huntin season snuck up on me. Between that and OT at work picking up I just didn’t have time for the project. I’m planning on trying it after the holidays. I have tried one sticking a couple times on a cut down stick and fiddling with the rope mod or the LW strap just isn’t cutting it for me. I’ll let you know if and when I get a chance to do it and how it goes!
 
Someone did it before, but they mounted it to the side of the stick so that they would still stack. Seems that I remember the liked it.
