For my Florida hunters (and others), what are your thoughts on camera locations marked by these pins. I have included a hydrography map, a topo and a contour/hybrid map

Man, gotta just go look and see if the sign is there to make it worth a cam.

I’d look at that little bench to the left of the “i” in silver, and the top of that same drain, they often wrap the tops of the drains.

Also, that too left pin on the corner of the clearcut, I’d check a little right if that where it thickens up, looks like 2-3 types of habitat come together right there.

Good thoughts... I did put cameras at a few of the locations marked. My e-scouting was good. When I got there, the deer trail was the best I've seen in this area

Good deal, and re-reading, I noticed my dyslexia… I said to the right if that top left pin, actually meant to the left of it. It would be an outside corner of the clearcut plus those other habitats meeting up.

Glad you found some stuff, good luck this season!

I know exactly where that is at. I've never hunted that specific area but have hunted just north and east of there with not a lot of luck. Nice thing is you can access that fairly easy year round. Good luck.

The more experience I have with cameras the less I see the need for them, aside from viewing inventory.

At some point you’ll learn where the deer move through, so if you’re using a camera to find deer, you really don’t need them.

Then will come a point when you realize that early season movement and mid and late season movement is different still. You’ll spend more time effing with cameras than actually hunting.

I enjoy the novelty of seeing June/July velvet, knowing full well that I won’t find them in the same place in late October.

Semper Fi,
Mike
