Can anyone recommend a decent camping/camping gear forum to check out? Would like to get into that aspect of the outdoor experience more and maybe be able to buy/sell some gear here and there too.

What type of camping are you interested in?
Car camping, backpacking, paddle camping? There's a world of difference in the gear you will need for each of these.

mindful-reviews.com is a good site if your camping entails back country/mountain hunting, which specializes in high function, ultra-light weight camping gear you can pack in on your back. It's a paid site....but I think it's worth it. No sponsorship and no BA....Jay, the founder, calls it the way he sees it. Lots of other people chime in on gear there, and there is a buy/sell forum too.

I love Jay's Mindful Hunter Youtube channel....his reviews are epic, and some of his rants are very entertaining. He just finished a sheep hunt out west in BC and should be posting up about that later this week.

Though might be a bit to specialized if you just want general camping and not high end hunting the back-country.
