Just as the thread title reads, can amsteel be dyed at home? I ask because I ordered gray amsteel, but it is more like silver. Darn internet photos. I would like to darken it significantly. Dark brown or black. Thanks for your insight.

The SH Membership has gone live. Only SH Members have access to post in the classifieds. All members can view the classifieds. I have never tried and kind of doubt that it is dyeable because it is supposed to be waterproof I doubt that the guy would stick

Have u brought the amsteel outside ? I got the gray cuz it blended in with a wider color range when I compared them.
I know some of it looks more silver than gray but it still blends in good in woods. The black horizontal wrap lines & vertical hanging lines are more of noticeable than the gray. Get the gray/silver amsteel a little dirty & it hides even better.
