Can you paint your bow?

Picked up a used bowtech. It's all black. Not that big of deal. But just curious if you hurt anything splashing some paint on it. Thinking about just some white pattern long ways to break it up a tad. I would think the riser is fine. But the limbs? They move. So it might flake off? I can't think a little paint will cause any damage. Might just use a paint marker. Resale value is not an issue.
 
You will be fine I have seen multiple people through some paint on there bow. Limbs will be fine also. I would use a spray paint otherwise it might chip off easier.
 
No issues. Cover the strings and cams with paper and paint away.
