Oh & make the investment & buy at least 1 ropeman. It’s one of the best pickups you can have in your kit! You can add one to your tether later if need be. But much easier to climb with one on Linesman’s belt.

I keep hearing great things about them. Definitely gonna try one out.

Definitely buy a ropeman, you won't be sorry. In fact buy 2, one for your lineman belt and one for your tether

I ended up buying a kestrel size 1 used on here. Gonna keep my other kestrel on order at New Tribe as well though. The one I bought on here didnt come with a linesmans belt or tree tether. You guys think that I could get away with using two Hunter safety system tree straps as the linesmans belt and tree tether? I'm just getting into this so my setup doesn't need to be state of the art or anything.

Im gonna try the HSS since I have 2 of them already even though I did order a linesman belt from tethrd. Can the ropeman 1 be put on a rope like the HSS that has the crimped end or does it have to go on a end of the rope and a knot tied after?

We are using HSS ropes with the Ropeman 1. Our rope is a little thicker than the Predator, but it is working OK. The Ropeman can be attached at any point along the rope.

Thanks for the video. It all makes sense now! I will be doing that on my linesman belt. I think I'll stick with the prussic knot for my bridge though.

Hey guyz and gals. New to your forum and saddle hunting. I have ordered the Mantis by Tethrd. I have been getting daily updates from Greg. says they are on target to ship next week pending the lab results on the Mantis and accessories for load and break strength . I have faith in the engineering and the quality of materials they have used. The Mantis is loaded with features . For my money I would and will wait . I`m serious about saddle hunting and appreciate another place to network. Stay safe .

Just got an update on the kestrel. They sound like they are back working my order should be done by the end of August (early July order). Looking forward to joining the ranks.
