I used to carry a Gransfors Bruk Wildlife Hatchet when camping, hunting in the backcountry, and for trapping. I friggin LOVED that thing. You could damn near chop through a rock and still shave with it afterwards. I loaned all my trapping gear to my coworker to take care of an entrenched fox problem, and unfortunately he had a barn fire while it was in his possession. Guess where all my trapping gear was?
It's on my list of things to replace one of these days as well as adding a Small Forest Axe to my collection. GB products are pricey, but very much worth it.
