I was inspired by my yoga mat strap and created a DIY carry strap for my hawks from the stock hawk straps after doing a rope mod. I always had problems with the strap slipping off my shoulder while walking so I thread injected a second strap to the shoulder strap that wraps around my body and connects in the front with a snap buckle. This piece helps keep the shoulder strap in place. The carry strap connects around the sticks with snap buckles too so it is adjustable. The project cost me $2 in snap buckles and 15 minutes of time to make. No more strap slipping off the shoulder.
