Carrying shikar sticks

I would like to carry my Shikar sticks into the woods already set up. Does anyone have a better way to do it than just stuck together?

Best I've come up with is stacking them pre-deployed side by side, with one of those elastic bands with the plastic ball at the end around the one of the versa buttons to hold them together.
 
This is how I’m trying this year.

You could. They cinch down really tight with the strap.
