I started carrying my spurs with my strapworks carry strap and it's working great. Just sling them over my shoulder. I like it better than trying to stuff them in my pack or strap them to it.

You know Red ,was promoting the straps from Strapworks , so I ordered one. I ordered the 48" , and put it on to carry my hawk heliums. I think these are a great cheap way to carry your stuff ! Check them out , as they have several options.
