Cell cameras

Anybody know if the Reveal X pics can be deleted from the app or only manually after physically retrieving the sd card?

I sold all my original Reveals since pics couldn’t be deleted from app and no way to lock cover to help prevent people from just opening it and removing the card themselves

These issues plus needing to go stink up the areas that are all several hours away in order to delete, defeated the purpose of Reveals for me

I don’t have an X but can delete pics from the app on my gen 1s.

Looks like you can add a padlock to the X to prevent folks from opening the door. Doesn’t prevent taking it though. They do have the lock boxes now too.

So previously the app could delete from the app only and the pics still remain on the sd card

The pics just accumulate and eventually when card is full, the oldest pics would get replaced by newer ones

To delete from sd card u would have to physically go to the camera and do it

I wanna clear pics off the sd card, remotely but keep them on the app so prying eyes can’t get to them

Ahhh I got what you are saying now. That would definitely be a useful feature!

Hey new to the forum. Loving it so far . Have been on archery talk for over a decade and finally getting into saddle hunting. Just wanted to pass along that scheels has the reveal x only in a t and t.. just ordered another one. I have pretty bad reception at my place , no signal with the Verizon version 1 so tried the a t and t.. works like a charm.

Reveal X hands down. There's a long insightful pinned thread on archerytalk about them. Mine have been perfect without issue. Fantastic detection range. Detailed pics. Takes nice clean if a bit oversaturated videos. Superb battery life. Put mine out over a month ago and I'm still at 90% with alkalines. Anyone who knows me knows I don't go cheap on gear, but I cannot see any logical reason to spend 300+ on a exodus or spartan when this badass cam exists. At a price where you wouldnt be that devastated of if it were stolen or destroyed.

Already out. I tried lol

I use a Spypoint Link Micro and a Cell-Link. I haven't had an issue with either one and they have the option of free 100 pictures each month. They accept python locks that passes through the access door to prevent card theft as well. The transmitted photos aren't the best quality.

Given you have invested in your current cameras, I recommend the spypoint celllink to convert your regular cameras to cell cams. They are relatively inexpensive at 50$ a piece. Plus spypoint is the only one that offers a 100% free photo plan. I'm not affiliated with them in any way, I'm just very very happy with their products and services. I started out with 4 cell links, they work perfect and have had no issues with them at all. I also found real cheap used or slightly older model sp cameras on ebay for well under 100 each. The link w is basic but still works great, only downside is no HD available, but I can live with that. I have 13 cell cameras and now pay the 99$ year for the club, it gets me 50 HD pics and adds and additional 150 photos to the "free" plan on every camera connected to your account. In my book they are the only cell cam I'll use for these features and services alone. Plus their customer service is top notch, I bought a used link w on ebay that wouldn't connect to the network, they had me try some things that didn't work and had me send the camera to them and they replaced it with a brand new link mini.

Now all this is my experience and my opinions, others may not have the experiences. Anyone can have a bad experience with technology, but how they dealt with it even though mine was a used camera sold me on their products.

I only run 1 cell cam and I highly recommend it. I run a RidgeTec. I dont have any contracts and I can change my plan month to month. I can run Verizon or AT&T sim cards. I have it in a steel case and locked to a tree. However, I am on private land and probably not needed. The customer service is what sets this company a part. They will literally email you back even over the weekend. They are amazing. I actually spoke to the owner on the phone when deciding on what camera to buy.
