Every manufacturer of safety harnesses deems them necessary. Personal risk assessment is...personal.This may be a stupid question, but are the leg loops necessary with any saddle? I have a mantis and those seem to be just a pain in the bass.

Good to know...Every manufacturer of safety harnesses deems them necessary. Personal risk assessment is...personal.
I think I you mean every saddle manufacturer's lawyer and insurance company deems then necessary!Every manufacturer of safety harnesses deems them necessary. Personal risk assessment is...personal.
The webbing slides through the d ring fine. No complaints at all.How does this set up feel when you have to roll your hips to make a short 6 o'clock shot? Im running 1" webbing for my bridge and if I could use it for my tether too it was be about half the bulk of the 12mm rope I'm using now.
I honestly do not have to climb a lot of trees with limbs down here. Our trees grow fast and straight, and self prune due to the density of surrounding foliage. But if I have to get around a limb, I can tether in while I unclip and throw my linemans over a limbI have a question about your new bridge/tether system. What do you use to get around limbs? I’m currently using two identical sterling htp ropes with kong ducks. One as my lineman’s and the other as my tether. If I run into a limb I can get around it easily because I have a second lineman’s/tether. Curious how you do this?
Those are a just touch lighter than mine, but mine are locking. Bought the Petzl Spirits in Boone from a climbing shop over the 4th and love them at 45 grams."I'm still searching for the smallest, lightest carabiner with a good weight rating..."
I bought a handful of these a couple weeks back.... https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00B1PDPEG/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o00_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1 .... I'm still not sold on the non locking aspect, but I may well grow out of that.

Putting my saddle on is now as simple as clipping one buckle. No stepping through my bridge anymore with muddy feet, or getting it hung up on a climbing step.
I know a lot of guys run a detachable bridge, but I never really liked that idea until I started incorporating it into my tether. Now I get all the advantages of a removable bridge, without having to manage an additional piece of gear.

I know your saddle has different attachment loops for lineman vs bridge, but theoretically one could use the same carabiners for the lineman and bridge attachment to save weight/bulk if they were the same (Sitdrag). You'd just have to be careful about which one you were unhooking...hmmm maybe that's not as good of idea as I thought
Just waiting on my buckle from AustriAlpin. I decided to sew all my stuff instead of using knots to make it even more compact. I will test significantly. As a note, I have an industrial machine and using t-90 thread. Aka, this wasn’t done on a run of the mill home machine.
9ft tether and a bridge that’s 32” from carabiner end to carabiner end.

What carabiner works best with a web bridge? I have a Merlin on order and all my carabiners are just regular shaped locking type.
For guys that like an adjustable bridge, any reason why you couldn’t do this setup with some triglides on the bridge to allow for length adjustment? Only issue I can think of is that there is more metal out there to make noise and that the carabiners would have a much bigger loop to flop around in. Am I missing any other issues?
