Just a reminder to check out your saddles, ropes, knots, and PPE before we get too close to the season. After a couple of recent climbs, I noticed some frayed stitching on one of my bridge loops. It was probably perfectly safe, but I contacted the manufacturer to make sure, and they were happy to repair it for me. Shipped it to them late last week and they’ve already got it fixed and coming back my way. I would hate to have noticed a potential issue any closer to October 1.

Good call @beej32. I just noticed during practice over the last weekend that the stitching on spliced eye on my tether had separated in a spot. I need to re-stitch it this weekend.

Edit: This tether has been on literally hundreds of climbs. Neither the rope or splice are compromised but the cross-stitching I put in to retain the splice finally wore through.
