Done a ton of searching and haven’t found an answer.

So I’m gonna chop some heliums down to 15” for use with around 4-5’ aiders.

I know some people have issues with kick out using the normal ratio from the top.

Has anyone found a better ratio of distance from top compared to total length, than the factory?

I’ve seen some sticks that have the button mod placement slightly above center.

Anyone have short LW Minis that they can get a measurement?

What distance or ratio do u guys suggest for 15” sticks?

I moved my button 3 in higher than its normal placement. My helium's are 15 1/2". Monitor little different than most modified helium's because my standoffs use the same bolts that hold on the steps. So they are directly behind where the steps attached. I'll try and remember to take a couple measurements tomorrow to verify everything

Thanks

I’ll go see if I can refind pics of urs

I like the idea of using same bolts thru steps & brackets

In the first picture you can see the original hole for the straps just below the Versa button

I just cut the bottoms off mine, left the button in the same location. With 1/4 amsteel, locks in solid. 24" overall

Also learned if u use the original hole of the helium strap for the button. Instead of doing math just stack your sticks upside down and run your drill bit through the original hole to mark where the recess needs to be on the other stick think I made made mine 3/8

The lone Wolf versa button has too much space for the 1/4" amsteel, the1/4" works best with a 3/8" spacer. I HAVE used the 1/4 on the original versa buttons, but wrapped it twice around. But I wouldn't hunt with it that way. The buttons shown in that pic are the original ones, for a larger static rope mod or the LW strap. Be safe & try them all at ground level!

I stack mine opposing, simply two pair on each side of the pack. Plenty of guys figuring out better ways to do stuff on here!!

Since I stack mine opposing, I needed a way to keep them tight, to eliminate any possibility of noise. Straps are good but not as good as bungee, but I didn't want to try and keep up with loose bungees in the woods. Had some holes left over when I cut the sticks and some pieces/parts laying around. A little workshop time while waiting for paint to dry on the predator
