Ok, someone take the plunge and let us know. A lot of us have been waiting for a new option like this. Interesting that the instructional video shows using only one foot locked in to the platform while the other is braced against the tree. I have always had both feet on the platform (LWHC) and never had any issues.

As such…

Haha. Not sure if you are referring to the first part of my statement? It’s not going to be me. I have wasted too much money over the years by being an early adopter. I have finally garnered the patience to wait for future iterations.
If you meant the second part (climbing with one foot), yeah I’ll stick to two feet in the strap.
Kinda liked it until I saw you could only climb with one foot on it....thats gonna suck when half the tree is frozen Icey, wet moss "and such" ....
No, they used the phrase about 300 times in the instructional video…

Gotcha, it also appeared to me that because your feet were so close to the tree, and the angle of the cable was 45, your knees would hit when you tried to release the cabel with both feet. with one and your other up above it your body is more stretched out, and less "inch worm" lik so your knee wouldnt hit.It appears the platform is at least as big as a LWHC, so there should be no problem climbing with both feet in it. As others have said, the potential noise from pins and not being able to adjust on the fly is probably going to be a non-starter for most people. I will say that when I climbed with the top of a Summit Open Shot, I didn’t need to adjust at all if I started with a decent angle. Maybe this product has a similar usability?

I got a reply back really quickly about this climbing platform. Here are the specs given to me:I didn't see anything on the website about what the weight rating is or warranty information. I was thinking about ordering this but I think I need more information before I do. I sent them a couple questions so hopefully I will hear back from them soon .

It'd be cool if they could make 2 that were asymetrical that would then "nest" together to make one platform at height. then you could essentially walk up the tree like EON pows, but with a cable style climbers....I can see that being a possibility. I might try the one foot thing with the LWHC just to see if I’m missing out on something.
