Hey guys, pardon the noob-

So I ordered an climbing sling to use as the new bridge for my Web, opened it up today & apparently I wasn’t paying attention. It is 5/8” not 1”. Rated 22Kn.

Yay or nay? Would much rather deal with the factory one temporarily than jeopardize myself...

I think you may have meant to say 2200lbs not kn because of it is 2200kn it's way more than anything we use!! LOL!!!

1 kn = 225lbs so 22kn x 225= 4950 which is 50lbs short of what ANSI says is the minimum requirement (5000lbs) and the standard with most arborists is 10 to 1 ratio which if applied to your equation means you should not put more than 495lbs on your strap to be safe so take that for what you will we all have to decide what is acceptable for us to feel safe! Hope that helps and be safe!
