I've seen a couple guys mention they used a paracord attachment on their sticks or saddles when ascending so they don't have to make multiple trips. I also saw a while back a video where someone used some plastic S-hooks to hold their sticks while climbing.

Can someone share some pictures and describe how you attach the paracord/sticks to your saddle?

This in intrigues me because in the past I have made multiple trips up the tree to hang sticks and while this doesn't bother me that much, is a little extra time and effort. If I can be a little more efficient hanging them i'm willing to give it a shot, though my primary concern is the sticks bouncing or hitting while climbing and hanging.

Regards,

Just make a loop with paracord around the molle loops on your saddle. The loops need to be big enough to slide over the stick and then under the first bracket that would touch the tree. I prefer my loops to be towards the rear so it doesn't interfere with climbing. Gravity pulls them downward so they dangle back and down.

Ive used paracord and I like the nite ize much better. They're also more versatile than a loop of paracord.

How do you keep them oriented correctly?

I'm not using my sticks much, but when the wings bump against me it HURTS. Not an issue with thick clothes on but a bummer in warm months (and practicing in shorts!).

I've been hanging the sticks on my shoulders just using the tree straps. Not the best....

before I got into saddle hunting I was doing the paracord loop girth hitched to my linemans loops. one step on each hip. Like @MCDM ...having the steps hanging behind your hips is better...they don't clang off the tree so much.

I also use a paracord haul line to my pack & bow, with the other end clipped or girth hitched to molle loop at the center of my sitdrag. once settled on the tether at height and have my bow/bag hanger strapped up, I then haul up my pack and bow up together.

I used a shower ring last year connected to my Molle loop and hung it on a elastic piece I tied to my stick.
I also tried using my aider over my shoulder but they swung around some.
This year I'm using niteize

I use two 12" Nite Ize loopable gear ties like these:
https://www.amazon.com/LOOPABLE-TWI...r=8-2&keywords=nite+ize+gear+tie+loopable+12"

I attach them through the molle loops on the back of each hip (leave them on my saddle all the time) and then twist them around the top of my LW or Hawk climbing sticks. One stick on my left, one on my right so they don't clang together. One trip up the tree.

FYI you can buy an assortment pack which comes with 2 of esch length (3, 6, 12, 18 inches) for $10. Just bought it.

I use small loops of paracord on each stick and attach them to the molle clip that aero sells. I ended up clipping off part of the gate so that it makes them easier to get in and out in the dark. DO NOT cut the entire gate off, you will regret it. Don't ask me how I know.

I have been having problems with this (carrying my 3rd and 4th Muddy Pro Sticks up tree with me), so this thread is very interesting. I was trying several molle attachment options, but ended up just tying them to my pullup rope (which worked but was ugly). I found this interesting Stick Clip product on the Genesis 3D Printing web site and it looks like it might work, but they are expensive and out of stock so I haven't tried them yet. The solution that Brudreaux proposed above looks very good so I might try that.

Get the kydex hooks that attach to the Molle loops of saddle from EWO. Attach a tight loop of 1/8 inch bungee to top of stick and it'll hold the stick close to the kydex hook with little to no slack in the loop like paracord. Other benefit is the bungee doesn't catch anything because it retracts tight to stick when not in use.

I'll give it a try.

I tried several good ideas provided in this forum for attaching 2 of my climbing sticks and my Predator XL Platform to my saddle, and all of them worked. I am currently planning to use two products from Genesis 3D Printing https://genesis3dprinting.com/:
Stick Clips https://genesis3dprinting.com/products/stick-clip-climbing-stick-hanger
XL Predator Hanger https://genesis3dprinting.com/collections/platform-hangers/products/xl-predator-hanger

Here is a picture that shows my saddle with these items (and everything but the kitchen sink) attached to my saddle. (I will reduce this some before I hunt.)

Just setting up my gear for the 21 season and decided on the EWO clips and some nite eyes reflective cord for the loop on the sticks. When the top steps are unfolded the loop is taut across the length of the two steps giving me a reflective strip to find in the dark.

A friend justifiably teased me about all the crap on my saddle and my need for suspenders. I agree! However, the suspenders are helpful even when I don't have anything extra on it since I evidently don't have a good butt to hold up the saddle.

Since I am still experimenting on how I want to ascend and descend the tree next season, the picture I have shows the saddle equipped with everything that I might need whether I am climbing using multiple sticks, or just climbing with one stick. The green pouch on the right has 40 feet of 9mm Sterling C-IV Canyoneering Rope with a Quick Link on one end, a Mad Rock Safeguard, and 40 feet of dynaGLIDE for a pull down rope. The pouch on the left has a lineman's belt and a tree tether each with a Ropeman 1, a HYS Strap, a Heroclip and some S biners, and a recliner. Once I decide how I actually want to ascend and descend trees I can probably reduce the gear on my saddle some.
