Has anyone ever tried using one of these as an aider that you would leave attached to the rung of a wild edge step? Turning one step into two. Currently have a knaider/swaider set up, but saw these on CMI’s website when I was looking at the etriers.

I used aiders similar to those that were made out of 1" webbing on each step. They worked well but could be a pain to pack everything back into the bag so I ended up taking them off after a couple of hunts.
