It is on the way. 30 degree drop from Thursday to Friday. I want to get out Wed as well because it will be our first night in the 30s but I may not be able to due to some truck repairs.
So just looking for any opinions. I can go back and hunt the place I shot, without recovery, that big buck or go to another place I have access to. Here are the factors:
1. Place I shot the big buck I have been to twice. Last Wednesday I had a little spike walk under my tree with no disturbance. I have been the last two Wednesdays. Mainly pasture that is bordered by strips of trees. I have a pretty good setup where the deer move through within cover but open enough for a shot.
2. I haven't been to this property yet this year. Mainly woods on ridges. There is a fairly good travel pattern through the property but isn't as narrow or defined. Not a lot of oaks but there are some. There is bedding on top. I killed a 10 pointer out there last year and owner told me earlier this year he has seen a 12 or 14 pointer out there.
Just curious on different opinions.
