Continuous Loop Question

Just finished a continuous loop out of 3/16 Amsteel as part of an adjustable bridge, and as I was stretching the rope out to even it and work the loose ends in, I ended up pulling the splice apart a little so that there's maybe 1.5 - 2 in. at the splice where you can see two ropes. I'm completely green when it comes to Amsteel splices and their properties. Does the splice need to be tight, or is my loop ok?IMG_20200805_212459__01__01.jpg

This doesn't look right did you do a brummel and bury both sides? Watch a youtube video to get it right. Something is off. If you're using it for life support or load bearing something might go wrong

I think that can happen in a brummel splice when you bury the wrong end. In this case you need to bury the opposite way you did. I can't be certain of it, but look back at what you did.

I think you need to bury the line closer to the lock Brummel. it looks like you buried the line couple of inches from the brummel
