don't you just love walking back to the vehicle and finding a scrape 60 yards from it that wasn't there earlier?

lol..also found one of the freshest rubs I've ever seen. dirt still on top of the leaves surrounding the rub, and the tree was rubbed all the way around
 
the rub is about 40 yards from a tree I had pegged with bolts 10 years ago, and by the end of that season I couldn't get the bolts out of the holes (I'd left them in...private posted land that I have exclusive rights to) and I'd brought my saddle in my backpack....so, after a few tentative steps on the old bolts, up I went....didn't end up seeing anything. but sure got excited at all the fresh sign.
 
Heard two butting heads the other morning....beautiful sound
