Apologies if there is already a thread on this.
which do you prefer?I prefer heavy duty leg loops as i climb with the handclimber and have had it kick out

@MIPublic did some side by side.
I have a transformer. Solid build. I really enjoyed it the first half of the season. Last few sits I have spent a lot of time adjusting it tho. So the pro is you can have it how you like to climb. But there is some fiddle factor dialing it in. Haven't tried an XC yet. But I believe still have the Raptor leg buckles?
Not a lot of complaint about them.

Had them both and sold the Transformer. The XC is more comfortable for me and it is lighter.

To my knowledge the transformer has the only load bearing leg loops on the market.

Had them both, sold them both. If I had to pick between those two, I’d pick the Transformer, KTV are excellent and some of the highest quality built saddles you can find, but you’re also comparing apples to oranges with 2 panel vs single panel and mesh vs solid cordura.

Whatd u get

I recently bought a Latitude Classic II after buying the Transformer for the start of the season. I had came from a Recon and a Kestrel before that.

Wasn’t sure if the two panel was still the one and the Classic had some simplicity built in I wanted to try. Things like the buckeless rope belt and their leg loop system with G hooks with retainer clips.

The Transformer is still the comfort champ for me…but if it had the rope belt and similar G hook system it would be perfect.

The current Transformer metal tri-glide location for attaching the leg straps create a pinch point and I’d rather have the leg loops connect at the bottom and secure to webbing loops on the sides of the bottom panel.

Don’t have the cruzer but comparing a single with a two panel in my experience.

Latitude classic 2.

Super simple, super lightweight, but no metal is key for me. I’m rather clumsy so even being careful I often found myself clanging metal, the classic eliminates that altogether. The rope belt is super slick, simple and very quick. As an added bonus I get to support in Michigan company.

I always found myself comfortable in the transformer, but it took quite a few adjustments to get there, personally I just didn’t find the benefits of having the two panels and being super adjustable appealing to me as much as I thought they would.

For now and the foreseeable future I’m just going to be a single panel and back band guy.

The Classic II for me for some reason squeezes my legs together and no matter the bridge or tether adjustments I can’t get comfortable.

If I can figure that out it would be perfect also.

I have the transformer and have been very happy so far. The fact I can adjust it as I sit and move makes it very easy to get comfortable. I haven’t even come close, but I think the more it breaks in the more comfortable it will be.

can someone comment on which is better for a leaner vs. for a sitter? i lean 75 percent of the time.

Jamie said he made it for sitters. With that said, I don't sit long in mine. I do more leaning. I sit when gun hunting because I need the bridge to rest the gun on. There is a sweet spot to kinda find when leaning. That's where the fiddle factor comes in. I haven't spent any time in the XC. So can't compare. My last hang I was leaning, could not get comfy. But the tree was not very strait. It was leaning in over my platform some. Felt like it was messing with me and changing all the angles. I never had that problem before with it.

Out of the saddles I bought, the Cruzr XC and the Transformer are the two I use. I'm mostly a leaner and haven't decided which of the two I prefer. If I absolutely had to choose between the two, I would flip a coin and be happy with heads or tails.

I’m more of a leaner and haven’t had issue with the transformer. I forgot to add, I don’t have experience with the Cruzr. I also did the leg buckle replacement with g hooks on the transformer.

I've had both and sold the Transformer and kept the XC. Hands down the transformer is built better, the ring that also doubles as a tender is great. I'm just not a two panel person. I wish he made one similar to the XC, I'd order it instantly.

I lean a majority of the time.

i'll say that as an 80 percent leaner, i've really enjoyed my cruzr xc

i'll probably order another this year as a backup

i ordered a size 2 and it's a little big on me, i have a 34 inch waist, but it works well because i don't wear it in

i've never experienced any discomfort, some setup ups are better than others, but i can put my tether almost any height and run my bridge any reasonable length and i'm never really uncomfortable....just some settings are better

never had hip pinch or the other stuff guys here talk about

I have been using an XC for a couple of years now and the comfort has been great for me. Had a Transformer to try out for a week last year and didn’t find the same comfort as the XC. Transformer build quality is best I’ve seen. I am not a 2 panel fan due to the extra fiddle factor so I’m sure that factors into my bias for the XC. I am a 50 / 50 leaner / sitter.
