Custom Gear Fabrication (aka sewing) by Squirrels

I too am considering no sticks this year. I am going to try the WE steps again, this time with knaider/swaider combo. This might be my go-to setup and then I would look for a pack to carry them with a predator attached. Nice to know the guys at Tethrd are planning a pack for the predator. Thanks for the feedback.
If you are going this minimalist check out the messenger bag here below. Cheap experiment if nothing else.

Received my hand drill/bolt carrier today and it is very well made and the design works great for installing bolts .
Everything I need to climb in a compact pouch that is out of the way but easy to get to and packs very well.
For you guys now using the squirrel steps and OCB to climb I think this design just a little bigger would be great.
I gave him a few ideas on what I wanted and let him design it .
This guy has skills I’m very pleased.

Maybe a silly idea but...... How difficult would making a pair of pants with reinforced butt/thigh area and bridge and linesmans loops built in?

This would also fall under my the 1st post stating I would not be making anything life supporting.

@Squirrels, can/would you sew up some neoprene (can coozy material) type of cover for a Vortex 8x36 monocular. With maybe circular plastic sandwiched between neoprene where the glass is for glass protection. The neoprene would keep it quiet.

https://vortexoptics.com/vortex-solo-8x36-monocular.html

I would love to be able to hang my monocular on my bino harness with neoprene cover, then just stretch the neoprene to slide the ends off the ends of the monocular (and not have the cover fall to the ground) to do some glassing. Then be able to stretch the ends right back on for protection.

Maybe like a bikini scope cover reinforced at the lens area, or maybe something different. Not sure.

I would be looking to comfortable carrying it in bino harness (no bino case, a la Rick young outdoors harness) with it swinging around and not making noise and having the glass covered. Then easily and quietly (plus for one handed) slip off the lens covers and use the monocular. Then easily/quietly) get the covers back on.

If you want to pursue making this, please let me know and we can follow up in private message. Thanks for your consideration.

Can you show me a picture of it when you get time, thanks.
