The decent into madness continues!
This is a good repost for all the new guys flooding the forum, and posting questions for stick modding lengths. Be aware of what you are trying to achieve with these mods.
Getting the most height out of your climb, on the least amount of stick is a formula. Most everything in this formula has to do with your own personal body dimensions and flexibility, with very little having to do with the climbing stick. This is most easily seen with members who use the one stick method, as well as wild edge knaider and swaiders.

Body measurements
1: Reach length: This is how high you can personally affix a climbing method. To measure this, face a wall, and reach up as high as you comfortably can. Put your thumbs out perpendicular to your fingers, and mark this height. Subtract 2 inches.
2: Step height: This is how high you can step, without having to exert upper body strength. Measure this by simply raising your foot in the air, to a comfortable height. Subtract 2 inches.

Stick measurements
1: Rope Attachment point. This point must be above above the midpoint of your standoffs. By adjusting where your rope attaches to your stick, you are in essence adding to your reach length
2: Aider length. This is directly correlated to your step height, and how flexible you want to be while possibly ascending or descending in low light/slippery conditions.

Use these measurements in the planning process of modding your sticks.
