Daisy chains or rope mod?

I was checking out Muddy's cleat system and their cams are mounted directly to the tube, no base. They also use 5/16" bolts instead of the 4mm-5mm bolts that come on the other cam cleats you can buy. I'd love to find some cam cleats with at least 1/4" bolts or 7-8mm. Sorry for off-topic.
I wish they sold replacements...

Both will work. You have to choose which tradeoff is ok for you. With 1/4 amsteel rope, the stick will lock on the tree with minimal stick movement on the tree to set it, but takes a few seconds more to tie it correctly. With a daisy chain, be prepared to never hit the right loop and either burn the time savings on fiddling by twisting the chain or turning the stick sideways, or just leaving it a little loose and knowing it is going down the tree several inches before it sets and will be looser compared to a rope mod or strap. I choose the rope mod because the stick spacing and tightness is most important to me.
Couldn’t agree more about the fiddle factor

Amsteel rope mod. There realky is no "knot" t ok be tied incorrectly. You are locking the rope between the loop on tge versa button and the button. You only tie the half hitches at the end as insurance.

I can hang a stick in seconds in the dark with my eyes closed.

I received my Amsteel this evening and tied my loops in and tried them on a tree by our barn. So far I like the simplicity and I know I’ll get quicker tying the rope.

Thanks to DanO and to those who’s videos I watched to help do the loops in Amsteel as well as those who had videos tying the sticks to the tree.
I cut my rope into 10’ lengths and when all said and done, they ended up being 8’4” length. Great for some of the larger trees and trees with multiple trunks near the base.

Did you do the daisy chain or no?

I did the regular rope. I have the versa mini straps also and they have been difficult to get on and off the beast sticks.

I hope by 'tie my loops in' you mean you did the. Brummel lock splice. Amsteel is not the best for "tying' knots.
