Hey guys if u haven't participated in a scouting workshop that Dan Infalt conducts u really should, we had a blast and rec'd so much information from Dan... And thank u to all who helped put this on including Legendary Whitetails (shirts).. Tim Edwards for doing videos and live posts... I think everyone would agree that we had a great time...I took over 49GB of video footage and if u are interested in seeing our workshop on February 16 please feel free to view the video series I will be doing below, the first video is below... I figure I will do a video for each stop we made in the woods... All of us had such a great time and will be more prepared for next season...

Thanks for taking the time to put the vids together. Well done. The editing and stuff takes some time and effort. When is the next one?

Get any clips of his stand???...;)

I did not... he had his stand there to look at... I didn't take a pic of it.. the stand was so light and the seat so small... don't know if I could sit on that for long...LOL....But it was supper light... not very big at all...

Did that workshop last year. It was a little warmer, just warm enough for most of us to punch through the ice in the marsh. Not so bad until we ended the day with a 40 minute chat behind Dans house while not moving.

Thanks for the vid, good refresher.

Ikeman and I spent two days with Dan last spring. Very informative. While many of us do not have the same terrain or sign that WI does, if you keep an open mind, listen to the "why" behind what Dan shows ya - then it really is not too hard to come back home and apply these basic principles in just about any environment.

The single most important thing that I've picked up from Dan over the years on this site and during our scouting session is this - mature bucks have PREFERENCES - and these will vary on terrain and personality, but, if you pay attention, pick up on these PREFERENCES, you will soon start to see patterns of behavior that can be exploited.

well worth the time and effort.... and Dan, staying true to his character, even caught a possum while we were there :)

It’s absolutely a shift from what most people do. That man works his tail off to get where he needs to be. There’s not too many that are going to go through waist deep water and muck to try to kill a deer. This is what sets him apart from the other guys.
He kills most deer outside of the rut, unlike most. That alone should tell you that he doesn’t hunt like most. He kills a lot of the bucks in their comfort zone not a funnel, not a cruzing zone in November. Not saying he never does that, but if you look at his best deer they are killed very close to their beds. I personally think that the man would be even more deadly out of a saddle. I hope he makes a beast platform.
