Did it again

Wow…. Talk about derailing a post with opinions. I don’t see anything in the original post by @NMSbowhunter saying please help me solve my problem, because I am too stupid to figure it out. I don’t even see a single question mark in the OP.

Surely that walk in would be the ONE time ever Bullwinkle walks by at 10yds with his nose down, paying absolutely no attention to me.
Left my bow in the stand opening morning of archery season this year while I got down to, uh, "download some brownware." Of course, as I got back to the base of my tree, there were six fat does within 50 yards, and I was stuck sitting on the ground weaponless while they fed around for the next 20 minutes. Granted, I'm not suggesting bringing your bow with you to take care of nature's business, but I won't otherwise be separated from my weapon on a hunt if I don't have to. Same reason why I carry my bow in by hand instead of strapping it to my pack--I just prefer staying ready from the moment I walk outside until legal shooting light ends.

I have a light weight flat rope that I girth hitched one end to one of the loops on my saddle next to my dump pouch. The rope lives in one of the side pockets of the dump pouch.

we don't have quite as strict of an internet forum protocol here as other places because we assume good faith a lot more and an around the water cooler vibe

Pretty much thought the site was an exchange of ideas on saddle hunting. I guess we are wrong.

I think I just heard you say you need a second Hickory Creek.
Yep this is why I almost always carry two bows, I leave one at the stand or set it on the ground, with the other bow tucked behind me… I’ve had several matooore bucks think they’ve got me with my pants down, I pull that second bow up and it’s game over.
