Different ways to carry your sticks...

I like mine connected, a lot of people just tie a long loop and hook it over the top of the stick so they only need 1 for the whole climb.

Are your beast sticks a prototype, they appear different than the current production model. Looks as though yours stagger when stacked based on the fact I don't see the lower portion of step that extends down where the standoff is bolted through on all the others I have seen.

So am I making a loop and an adjustable loop in the am steel?

Just splicing a loop smaller than the flange of the button. Unbolt the button, put the loop on the button and bolt it back on. Then when you hang the stick, go around the tree, over the button and rope, then down between the rope and tree and pull it down and around the button. Do that twice and then half hitch on opposite side.

Will this work with Amsteel or is that to slippery?

when I was using a fanny pack, I would use a rifle sling with quick detach clips for kayak webbing to attach sling to the steps ...now that I've gone to a backpack, I strap them to the molle loops on the pack with nite ize gear ties.

Which back pack did you purchase. I'm looking at a few, the horn hunter main beam is on the short list.

I am using a Rancho safari day pack. Platform goes inside pack and 24” steps strap on with fastex straps. If carrying a bulky jacket I just lay it under the steps. Hang pack on far side of tree sonit doesn’t interfere with my 62” recurve.

I put my sticks inside the saddle and carried it over my shoulder. Simple and quiet, no back needed. Room in there for tether, aider, and everything else I carry.

Anyone make a sling out of amsteel for carrying in? In the early season I usually don't carry a back in, so I don't have anything to strap them too. Just curious what others are doing to carry them in

I use a rifle sling and 2 'speed clips' made for kayaks...not sure they sell them any more heres where I got them

DIY sling for me weighing in at 3.8oz. I added an extra strap to the sling that goes around my chest to keep the carry strap on my shoulder (even when bending over) without having to hold onto it or constantly re-adjust while walking in. It Connects around the sticks with cheap snap buckles. It is Adjustable for different chest sizes and how low/high you want the sticks to hang on your side. My sticks are full length hawk helium’s and so far it is working pretty slick. 10 feet of 1” strap, 3 cheap plastic snap buckles and a little thread injecting (or hot glue) and you are ready to roll. Hoping for the next design iteration to double as an adjustable back band.
