Happy New Year y’all. I feel a project coming on in the basement....want to build a customized area that would include my clothing and gear storage, a small workbech, and possibly a bench to sit on. Maybe shelving somehow worked in too.

Anyways...i need some ideas! if you have a dedicated area like this in your basement/garage i’m looking for some pics!

Thanks everyone!!

This is a great question/thread. I use a shed to store most of my gear that can be in an outside shed to it. I'm always trying to do it in an organized manner as well. I am building a work bench in the shed so I can work on things but I am concerned about mice getting in and chewing on my saddles so I probably will place them in storage totes in the off season. Obviously my guns, bows etc. are all inside but I would like to know what equipment you all keep stored in your homes and what stuff you store in your shed or garage or outbuildings or whatever which isn't heated etc. I dream of the day I have a climate controlled hunting/gear room/reloading area/bow shop/ gunsmith bench/shooting range but at this point I don't have the time, room, inclination or money to do it.

I've always wanted to have all my stuff organized by use in bins in a motorcycle size box trailer. Well, not all, but the seasonal stuff. Hangers for all my climbing equipment, etc.

I have a small office desk with three drawers on each side, and middle drawer. I attached lamp to it that is on a flexible arm so I can direct it to what I'm looking at (I'm 55 and need reading glasses, so bright light is important). The drawers fit a lot of little stuff and I use the top of the desk for chores like sharpening broadheads or replacing blades, refletching arrows, installing inserts, and all those little things like that. It is nice to be sitting down for a lot of these types of things. I got other stuff store in other places by different methods, but just wanted to mention the desk idea. You can usually find them cheap on craiglist.
