I went on my first saddle hunt last night and while my body was comfy for the five hour sit, my feet were killing me as I only had the top of my xop stick and two screw in steps to stand on. I have a xop stand that I would like to use the seat off of as my platform, but need to do it on the cheap as I am 20 with bills to pay. I’ve seen guys get custom I beams made to attach the seat to a tree but I can’t afford that. I also would like to retain the ability to reattach my seat to my stand for future use. Any suggestions?

You can go to your local metal supplier and get a foot of 6061(6063 isn't good enough) 1.25" aluminum square stock 1/8th"thick and put some xop 6 point brackets on it. Then I would mount the seat with a quick disconnect pin if you need to use it all the time on your tree stand, if not bolt and unbolt. You can use the strap from your tree stand to hook it to the tree. You're in like $30.

Check out the thread step ladder platform prototype, a primal step is under 10 bucks and some 3/4 plywood is pretty cheap as well and you can sell or save your xop setup.
